Since Jan,
2009 this office
achieved the status of ‘Zero Pendency’ in respect of cases where
Clear PVRs have been received and the applicants have submitted the
required documents which reduced the complaints to large extent but
still there might be odd number of applicants who still feel
aggrieved due to one reason or the other. In order to bring their
complaints to logical conclusion, the Passport Officer has dedicated
first half day i.e. from 10.30 a.m. to 01.00 p.m. on all working
days to meet such people.
In case of genuine complaints the applicants are welcome to
meet the Passport Officer, in person, on the below

OF PASSPORT

Passport
are delivered by SPEED POST /
REGISTERED POST and in case of counter
delivery (promised by Passport
Officer) the Passport will be
delivered to the applicant only. Delivery of Passport is not made on
an authority letter in view of the prevailing situation in
J&K.
IMPORTANT
INFORMATION:
In view of
the militancy situation existing in J&K the Passports under
Normal and Tatkal Categories are granted only after receipt of the
Clear Final Police Verification Report, verifying &
authenticating the antecedents as well as photograph of the
applicants, by the CID
Hqrs, J&K, Jammu/Srinagar. All the applicants are required to
cooperate with the CID/Police Authorities enabling them to verify
their antecedents as well as their photographs so that the Final
Report is sent to this office expeditiously.
